The automatic dropping point tester for vaseline is suitable for determining the dropping point of white vaseline and yellow vaseline according to the vaseline dropping point method in the 2020 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, that is, the temperature at which one drop of liquid falls from the sample in the grease cup under specified standard conditions. This instrument is also called a dropping point tester, and is specially applicable to the determination of the dropping point of white vaseline and yellow vaseline.
This automatic instrument also complies with ASTM (D3204, D3461, D3954, D6090), DIN (51920), ISO 4625-2 and the European Pharmacopoeia.
I. Main Functional Features of the Automatic Vaseline Dropping Point Tester
1. Heating Furnace Structure: The heating furnace includes a heating body, with a built-in heating plate and a platinum resistance sensor; the middle hollow slot is the sample chamber, used to place the sample measurement assembly, which includes a grease cup chuck, a grease cup filled with sample, and a grease cup slit at the lower part. Below the heating body is a light source, which emits light that passes through the light-transmitting hole of the slit sleeve and illuminates the signal sensor. When the sample softens and drips to block the light-transmitting hole, the signal sensor sends a signal, and the instrument records the temperature.
2. Sample Measurement Assembly: The middle part is the grease cup for placing the sample; the upper part is the chuck for clamping the upper end of the grease cup and connecting the handle; the lower part is the slit sleeve for allowing light to pass through, and also catching the dripping sample when the dropping point is reached.
3. Inspection of the Assembly Slit Sleeve: Enter the main interface, click the "Test" button, set the preset temperature to no more than 40°C, click the "Automatic Detection" button to enter the automatic test interface.
4. Place the empty grease cup sample assembly vertically into the furnace sample chamber, align the lower observation port of the slit sleeve to the front, and align the light-transmitting hole of the furnace body with the light-transmitting hole of the slit sleeve to ensure that the detection hole can transmit light.
